Brewers bullpen coach Charlie Greene is bringing a personalized protective cup to the World Series that features the logos and jersey numbers of both his baseball team and his son's football team. The custom gear displays the Milwaukee Brewers logo and Greene's No. 88 on the top half. The bottom half shows the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo and the No. 85 of his son, Garrett Greene. Garrett is a wide receiver on the Buccaneers practice squad. The cup was designed by Diamond MMA.

Greene has served in the Brewers organization for 22 years. He said the item is part of his daily uniform. He stated that it is a fun thing to wear. He explained that his number is on top and his son's number is on the bottom. The design represents both the Brewers and the Bucs. He noted that the connection makes sense for his family.

Garrett Greene is trying to establish himself in the NFL. He recently transitioned from playing quarterback to playing wide receiver. His father said the conversion at the professional level is difficult. Charlie Greene observed that Garrett has done well in the position change. He described the Buccaneers locker room as a great environment. He said Garrett enjoys the time he spends with his teammates. The player is on the practice squad while trying to earn an active roster spot.

Charlie Greene is focused on Milwaukee's postseason run. He keeps a close eye on the developments in Tampa Bay. When his schedule allowed, Garrett traveled to Milwaukee to watch the Brewers play in person. Charlie Greene said his son has only known the Brewers organization because of his long tenure. The coach emphasized that the family bond extends across two different professional sports leagues. The gear serves as a visible link between the two careers.

The World Series is the current focus for the Milwaukee staff. The custom cup remains inside the clubhouse. It is not a piece of equipment that fans will likely see during games. The coach continues to prepare the bullpen for the next round of play. He maintains his routine while carrying the symbol of his son's pursuit in the NFL. The two men share a professional goal of making the active rosters of their respective teams.
