The St. Louis Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 on Thursday night, erasing a first-period deficit to secure their first home win against Boston since the 2019 Stanley Cup Final. The victory ended a recent home record of 0-3-3 against the Bruins.

James Hagens opened the scoring for Boston at 5:28 of the first period. He deflected a shot from Casey Mittelstadt past goaltender Joel Hofer, who finished the game with 31 saves. Jeremy Swayman made 14 stops for the Bruins.

St. Louis tied the game at 15:43 on a power play. Jimmy Snuggerud scored a one-timer from the left faceoff circle to snap a 138-minute, 38-second scoreless streak. Robert Thomas provided the assist, a pass that moved him to fourth place on the franchise all-time assist list, passing Brian Sutter.

Philip Broberg took the lead for the Blues at 5:17 of the second period. He received a pass from Connor McMichael behind the net and fired a wrist shot from the top of the slot past Swayman. Thomas extended the lead to 3-1 at 12:08 of the second period by beating Swayman high with a wrist shot from the high slot after taking the puck from Justin Barron.

Jake Neighbours added the final goal for St. Louis at 12:42 of the third period on the power play. Both Thomas and Broberg recorded one goal and two assists in the win.

The Bruins host the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, while the Blues travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings on the same day.
